Patricia currently possesses over a quarter of a decade of nursing experience. Having begun her career as a certified nurse aide. She knew at the age of 19 that she wanted to be a nurse. She desired to expand her knowledge base to meet the ever-changing and growing needs of our population. This fueled her desire to climb the career ladder from CNA to CMA to LVN to RN. She is a graduate of Trinity Valley Community College as well as Tyler Jr. College. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Science of Nursing with an Education focus at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Patricia is currently employed with Concord Healthcare Group. She is a Regional Nurse Consultant with this healthcare firm. She currently oversees numerous long term care facilities for nursing compliance with state and federal regulations. In order to stay in touch with the changing field of nursing, she is also employed PRN with East Texas Medical Center, Tyler Texas.

Aside from studying for her Master’s Degree, Patricia takes a very active role in Black Nurses Rock, Tyler Texas. She is a graduate of the Black Nurses Rock Leadership Academy, 2017. Patricia currently holds the office of Vice President. She is also one of the founding members of the Tyler, Texas chapter. She also is a member of the Order of Easter Star, Texas Nurses Association, and American Nurses Association. Patricia also takes part in numerous volunteer efforts such as Feed the Homeless, Dallas Texas, United Way, and American Red Cross.

Patricia is an active member of South Union Missionary Baptist Church of Palestine, Texas. She is the daughter of Albert and Ola Gilbert. She has 2 children, Brent and Sydney.
